About the Role
Are you an experienced Landscape Architect ready for a regional leadership role? Imagine being part of a market-leading business that is delivering an expanding portfolio of exciting infrastructure, development, and environmental projects. From renewable energy schemes such as onshore and offshore wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems to carbon capture and storage, data centres, coastal defences, urban regeneration, new housing developments, and transmission and transport infrastructure, there is an excellent platform for you to shape and lead a regional Landscape Planning service line.
Benefit from the support and resources of some of the UK’s leading landscape, planning, design and environmental professionals, whilst you establish a greater Landscape Planning presence in Scotland and achieve your own professional goals.
As Director (or Associate Director) level appointment, your experience in undertaking technically robust landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA) will be highly valued. Your passion for context-led master planning and design, underpinned by an understanding of relevant assessment methodologies, will set you apart. Technical excellence is essential, notably with regards the latest Guidelines for LVIA, landscape character assessment, Green Belt assessment, appraisal of protected landscapes, Residential Visual Amenity Assessment. Your role will also benefit from a solid grasp of planning policy and various UK consenting regimes. While the number of years you have worked is less important, your proven ability in landscape planning and your commercial approach will be key.
This is a rare opportunity, not only to join an outstanding employer but also to take a leadership role with such strong support and resources in place.
The role is best suited to a Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with a track record in management / leadership in a consultancy environment, who has led, authored and reviewed numerous LVIAs. Ideally you will have mentored and coached less experienced staff and worked in multi-disciplinary teams.
Take the next step in your career and become a key player in a practice where your contribution will have real impact.
