About the Role

Sought-after role as a Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant at a market-leading Consulting firm.  

As a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant, you will work closely with client teams and a range of specialist colleagues, in development and implementation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA's).  There will be the opportunity to work transformative projects across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on the transport sector, leading projects across all modes of transport, with an emphasis on sustainable transport modes and integrated transport systems.  
Core activities include:

- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design, driving solutions to environmental challenges.
- Leading the preparation and coordination of EIA reports, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and client expectations, while identifying enhancements and appropriate mitigation.
- Building relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and clients to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Providing expert advice on environmental policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of environmental management plans and compliance with EIA conditions.

Requisite Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Full membership of an appropriate institute (e.g. Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent).
- Professional experience in environmental consulting.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects in the transport sector.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices. Experience with the Transport and Works Act consenting regime is desirable but not essential.
