Key role for an experienced Principal or established Associate EIA project leader, to shape some of the UK's most significant and exciting developments, from nationally significant energy and infrastructure projects to new settlements, urban regeneration, and internationally recognised public spaces. Role Overview:
As a Principal / Associate EIA Consultant, your expertise will provide critical insights into the environmental and social impacts of major development projects. You will lead EIA projects, author reports at all stages of the EIA process, and offer environmental leadership on non-EIA projects. Your role will be pivotal in informing landscape-led design and contributing to the direction and growth of the service line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate EIA projects from screening to the preparation of Environmental Statements.
- Provide environmental leadership and assist masterplanners and planners on non-EIA projects.
- Contribute to business development by generating new business and supporting others in securing opportunities.
- Develop and nurture client relationships, transforming them from transactional to transformational.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, co-consultants, and clients, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional excellence.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in leading and coordinating EIA projects.
- Successful track record in a consultancy environment.
- Experience working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in managing sub-consultants.
- Familiarity with GIS, graphics software, and/or AutoCAD is desirable.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to generate business aligned with the company's strategy and demonstrate sound professional and commercial judgement.
