They are now seeking an experienced EIA Consultant at Principal or Associate grade to shape and lead a regional EIA team in the south-west.

Role Overview:
The role involves coordinating environmental inputs for major EIA projects, supporting proposals for large-scale infrastructure and major development projects in sectors such as transport, renewable energy, and property. Responsibilities include managing environmental inputs to project designs and assessments, from strategy development to detailed design and discharging conditions. The role also involves liaising with clients and sub-consultants, preparing fee proposals, and authoring environmental reports and EIA documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate environmental inputs for major EIA projects.
- Work with internal technical specialists and designers.
- Engage with various consenting regimes, including Development Consent Orders and Town and Country Planning.
- Liaise with clients and sub-consultants.
- Prepare fee proposals and author environmental reports and EIA documentation.
- Ensure environmental issues are central to development design.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Relevant environmental degree.
- Excellent knowledge of EIA processes and UK legislation.
- Broad technical understanding of key environmental disciplines.
- Significant experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary EIAs.
- Strong verbal and report writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage project deliverables.
- Extensive experience engaging with stakeholder groups.
- Proven financial control and project management experience.
- Experience in line management or oversight of junior team members.
- Experience in bid preparation and business development activities.
