About the Role

Are you an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant or established Principal Consultant eager to have a significant impact on projects that promote sustainability and positive outcomes?

Our client offers an enviable platform for your expertise to lead and contribute on projects that address pressing environmental challenges. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, your role will involve integrating environmental considerations into project planning and design, preparing and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, and conducting environmental assessments to develop mitigation measures. As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision, leading complex functions or teams. You will have some responsibility for team and project deliverables, ensuring time and quality expectations are met. As such, you’ll take a role in supporting and managing others’ performance and development.

Core Activities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of EIA reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and studies to identify potential impacts and develop mitigation measures.
  • Build relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and clients to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of environmental management plans and compliance with EIA conditions.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Full membership of an appropriate institute, such as IEMA / ISEP, RTPI.
  • A track record of providing an environmental consulting service.
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering complex EIA projects across various sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Likely to be a Chartered/Licenced professional in a relevant business area.
