Join an award-winning nationwide Town Planning team as an Infrastructure Planning Associate / Technical Director in either the Bristol or Cardiff office. In this role, you will lead and develop the planning teams in Bristol and Cardiff, fostering client relationships and identifying project opportunities. Your efforts will support raising the profile of the organisation and promoting its work in the marketplace. Engage with existing and potential clients to ensure a strong pipeline of projects, positioning the organisation for continued success.
You will also lead the delivery of projects, providing strategic direction to the team, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining project profitability. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to maximise client and project opportunities, integrating delivery for optimal outcomes. As the planning lead for the regional team, you will support the development of skills across the national town planning team, ensuring depth in resources and success in their roles.
Candidates should have experience working on major infrastructure consenting projects, with a solid understanding of the market. A degree-level education and Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) are essential. Strong working knowledge of NSIP consenting via DCO, SIP, The Infrastructure (Wales) Act 2024, and TCPA is required.
Proven consultancy skills, a passion for leading teams, and experience in bidding and project delivery are crucial. The role demands experience within a commercial environment, including client liaison, programme and time management, quality assurance, and financial/budget control.
